• You must have booked a time slot in order to be able to start your race.
• You can change your time slot at any time, so long as there is availability at your new chosen time.
• Course specific limitations to take into account:
• • Punggol: Kilometer 6 to 8 of the run is located on Coney island, which is closed from 7pm to 7am. Don’t start your run too early in the morning or too late in the evening.
• • Jurong Lake Gardens has two 500m long off-road sections that are very dark at night. Bring a headlamp or torch light if you decide to run it in the dark.
• • MacRitchie Reservoir has no lighting on the course. Bring a head- or torchlight if you decide to run it in the dark.
• Check the map for the start and finish location of your chosen route.
Plan your travel to be on time for your running time slot.
• We encourage you to be green and cycle, take public transport or car-pool to the venue if possible.
• Review the detailed course map to familiarise yourself with the route. The MyRaceGate app will provide you a turn-by-turn audio guidance.
• From Thursday 18 November, you will be able to download the MyRaceGate app and onboard to be ready for the race. Detailed information will be emailed to you.
• Check that you can log into the app and that your phone settings are optimised for the best run experience
• Bring a full water bottle to use during the race, as there are no drink stations available.
• Arrive ‘race ready’. Warm up before getting to the start venue (you won’t be allowed to do your warm-up near the start venue to avoid a gathering of people at the start area).
Keep a safe distance. Do not linger or gather in groups at the start.
• Wear a face mask while you travel to the venue and as you prepare to start your race.
• Do not bring any spectators with you.
• Do not bring any bags with you since there is no bag minding service.
• Consider wearing bright clothing, if running during the hours of darkness.
• Always abide by the safety measures, including keeping a distance of 2 metres from other runners or pedestrians during the race.
• Do not hug or high-five anyone (even if you do a personal best!).
• Do not litter.
Got some old shoes you want to recycle? Bring them along and drop them at the Punggol or Gardens By the Bay start lines on Saturday 20 November.
• Select your target time. Enter your target time for your chosen distance. Like your own personal coach, you will receive audio messages along the route advising if you are ahead or behind your chosen time. Be motivated to stay on pace, and achieve your goal.
• Choose your competitors. Select two runners who have already completed your chosen distance. It could be your best mate, or a long-time rival. You will receive regular messages throughout your run advising you if you are ahead or behind your chosen competitors. An extra bit of motivation to drive you faster, and provide a new racing element to enjoy during your race.
